LITERARY HALL

Sabit Mukanov was born on April 26, 1900 now the North-Kazakhstan region, Dzhambul District, the village of Sabit Mukanov. The father of the future writer - Mukan died at the age of 55 in 1906, Balsary's mother died in 1907 at the age of 49 years.The exposition of the literary part is compiled from his novel "School of Life". In the literary part are materials that tell about the life of S. Mukanov. In the showcase of S.Mukanov's works of the 30-ies: the novel "Temirtas" (1935), "Yesil" - in hand-written form and a copy of the letter of Shakarim Kudaiberdiev. In 1922, Sabit entered the Orenburg labor department and in 1926 graduated. Newspaper Enbekshi Kazakh and Bostandyk Tui (1926-1928), where worked S. Mukanov. In the years 1928-1935. the writer continues his education at the Leningrad Institute of Language named after Marr, and then at the Institute of Red Professors in Moscow (1930).The writer-academician S. Mukanov was awarded many government awards for his services in the field of philology and public activity: 2 orders of Lenin, 2 orders of the Red Banner of Labor and the Order of the Badge of Honor. On April 18, 1973, he died.

CREATIVE LABORATORY OF THE WRITER

Here are exhibited works of the writer, written in a variety of genres: poetry, prose, drama, literary studies. At an early stage of his work, S. Mukanov was mainly engaged in poetry. He wrote 80 thousand poetic lines, 20 poems, about 10 novels, many novels and stories, collections of essays, 10 plays, manuals for universities and many other books. The works of S. Mukanov: “Сулушаш” (1928),  “Адасқандар  “Жұмбақ жалау”(1938), “Балуан-Шолак”(1942), “Сыр-Дарья” (1948) S. Mukanov wrote many essays. S.Mukanov also made a big contribution to drama. Dramaturgical works: "Chokan Valikhanov", "The Girl from Kashkariia", "Saken Seifullin", "Bright Love" to this day on the stages of dramatic theaters of our republic.

WRITTEN RESEARCH

In 1967, S. Mukanov for the book "Radiant Stars" was awarded the State Prize named after Valikhanov by the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR. The monograph is devoted to the works of A.Kunanbaev and C.Valikhanov. The scientific works of the writer: "The national heritage" (1974), "Kazakh literature of the twentieth century", "Essays from the history of Kazakh literature of the ХҮІІІ-ХІХ centuries" (1942). A special place in the work of S. Mukanov is the autobiographical trilogy "School of Life". In 1967, S. Mukanov for this work was awarded the State Prize of the Kazakh SSR. The last novel of the writer was the novel "The Flashed Meteor." For many years, about 30 years S.Mukanov studied the life and work of one of the outstanding sons of the Kazakh people, a thoughtful democrat, educator, scholar Chokan Chingizovich Valikhanov. As a result of many years of research, the play "Chokan Valikhanov" was written, as well as the novel "The Flashed Meteor", which remained unfinished. The name of S.Mukanov was included in the international encyclopedia "Who is who", released in Chicago in 1967.

LIVING ROOM

All the exhibits, personal items, a large library were preserved as during the life of the writer without change. Each exhibit has its own story. Great attention is paid to the visitors to the writer's library. The museum stores 8 thousand exhibits, 4 thousand of which are his books, these classic works of Russian literature, foreign literature, encyclopedias, works of politicians, etc. Portraits of Sabit aha and Mariyam apai, embroidered with silk threads, made by masters of the spouses of Anna and Grigory Atknin in 1980 in Almaty. Carpet with a portrait of the writer was made in 1980 in honor of the writer's 80th birthday; The piano was bought in 1950, the younger son of Botazan played on it. Dombra with ornament, donated in 1957 by a Karaganda master - childhood friend of the writer Temirgali Dybysov.

STUDY ROOM

Working table S. Mukanov. Handles, papers lie in their places, as it was during the life of the writer. There are also books, presents, a portrait of S.Seifullin on the wall and a portrait of the writer. In this room, the writer worked on his latest work "The Flashed Meteor." Assistant in the work was the secretary-typist, Mayra Zhansaeva, with whom the writer worked for 25 years. In the office there is a typewriter S. Mukanov, on which M. Zhansaeva worked for many years. Many things - souvenirs, busts, etc. were donated in honor of the jubilee dates of S. Mukanov. Dombro was presented by the famous master Kamar Kasymov, to the 60th birthday of S. Mukanov.

BEDROOM

In the bedroom are placed clothes, hats and personal belongings of the writer. In this room he rested after a day's work. The last way the writer was escorted from the same apartment. Three years later, after the death of the writer, Mariam apay, was the founder of the organization of this museum. Great heritage, all the historical value, life's precious things are passed down from generation to generation.
